Default Backing

How do you figure out what is the best when it comes to backing? So far for me, I always have a pro with me for help but when I go out alone I know this is going to confuse (and possibly frustrate) me.

At this point in my fishing career, I have gone fishing alone for about 5 times only and on shore. I never venture out into the lake without a buddy.

Anytime you are just starting out with something, it's wise to bring along someone with more experience so you can learn from them. Just remember that eventually, you'll have to fly on your own and you'll do fine.
