Default Fishing Alone?

How many of you hit the water by yourself?

I've never actually fished alone, the banter you get with a few friends is too good to leave behind.

You are absolutely correct about fishing with friends. You cannot have that banter when you fish alone, except if you have split personalities.

I do fish alone sometimes. I just love feeling of being solitude. I could asses things that happened in my life and try to plan a better living in the future. I could only do this when I'm alone with nature and while waiting for the fish to bite my bait.

ROFL so true, mind you talking to yourself might get you a few funny looks

LOLOL
I like doing these sorts of things on my own usually, but since I'm going to be learning how to with the fishing, I s'pose I'll be going with friends, at least the first few times.

I really enjoy the banter with friends and they can certainly help with landing a good fighter so it is definately a good idea to have someone there to help if you are a newbie!

I cannot actually decide. While the conversation, banter, and sharing of strategies and tips is a true plus when fishing with friends, I just love the idea and feeling of fishing alone. I also feel that some of my best fishing comes when I am alone as I am a firm believer in quiet, stealthy, fishing and the more focused I am the better I do.

And when you fish alone you can always overexaggerate in terms of the fish you caught or the HUGE lunker that JUST BARELY got away!

There are times when I like to get out in nature and just be by myself. It can be so relaxing to get away from it all and not worry about anyone else but me.

I prefer to fish alone or with just one or two friends. For me, the lesser people involved is the better. I don't like to compromise about where to go, what to bring, etc.

My better half has been my fishing buddies since we were in our early teen years so I have never really fished alone. Camping trips alone with a good fish trip and a few beers is okay with this lady.

I love combination camping and fishing trips. Those are absolutely brilliant. One of my favourites to do. I rarely fish alone. There's just something about sitting with your mates quietly.

Being with your friends actually makes the sport alot of fun. There is just nothing to compare for good old bonding with your buds as you fish and compare your catches.
