Default Death water

Just to remind myself, death water is an area with little or no current. It usually occurs in large rivers or areas with flow problems. No experienced fly fisher will advise you to fish in such areas. Have you tried fly fishing in death water anyway?

I have to admit I'm a bit stubborn but I learned my lesson in time and found out all of those older fishermen were telling me the truth. I was a hard headed teen and didn't like to be told what to do but after catching nothing for days on end, I finally quit and never tried to fish death water again.

You are not alone LOL. Before I used my logic (which later was proven to be illogical) that trout must like death water as there is no stream to swim against so they can move easily.
