Default Knots to tie flies

What knot do you use to tie your tippet to your flies? I use a Clinch knot for both flies and hooks, what about you?

I read the article from the link you posted. I usually use the double knot to tie my hook with the line. No wonder why I often lose my catch.

What are the other ways in knotting? In making a knot, does it depend on the fish you are trying to catch or the kind of hook you are using?

Marky, double knots generally come lose, you need something that will hold under the pressure of a fighting fish and the constant pulls in different directions.

The clinch knot I use for both flies and hooks and it works a treat, although there are others you can use. To be honest it is difficult remembering them all, but definately pick one up and avoid the double knots in future!

I always double knot too! Where is the article about the clinch knot? I want to learn how to tie that way. I don't want to lose anymore fish! I'm game for trying new things. Is the Clinch knot easy to learn?

Well, I am just a predictable angler and using the legendary double knot Thanks Khalid for sharing the link. That's fantastic. It looks simple yet strong. I can see that the stronger the fish pulls the hook, the tighter the knot will be.

I didn't know that kind of know it could be applied in fishing. I use the double knot but haven't caught any fish yet, so I don't know how it goes.
