Default The first fly fishing

I was surprised to know that fly fishing has been practiced since ancient times. In the late 2nd century, a written work of the Roman Claudius Aelianus implied that Macedonian anglers used to practice fly fishing.

Now trout still strikes the flies. Does the fish not learn the lesson?

Fortunately for us, but unfortunately for the fish, I think evolution takes a little bit longer than that so that the fish who can distinguish flies on a line from real flies can fully disseminate that gene.

The fish aren't stupid. We've just become better at making flies look for realistic. Fish bite but some of them spit out the fake stuff faster than I can set the hook.

Now the fish that fool us. They make us think that we have outsmarted them then they show us that we are wrong. They evolve fast then.

The fish does not learn the lesson well enough, because we have a variety of baits that they can't memorize. They don't seem to have that much memory in their brain. LOL.

When the trout are hungry they are going to strike out at what looks like food to them. Lucky for us, some of the flies we use look so real and we nab them! I'm happy that people keep coming out with more realistic flies and lures all the time. They keep us one step ahead of the fish!

So you want to say that we are criminals? No, thanks. I don't want to join this bad company LOL. But we maybe criminals to some extent, for instance if we keep the trout we are supposed to release.
