Default Practice

I know that practice tends to make perfect but I am almost stressed over not getting this. I am still practicing my positions but it seems I am a bad judge of distance which is the biggest thing (that I see) messing me up. Other than practice what are some great (and hopefully moderately) easy tips?

I'd suggest setting up some small buckets at varying distances, cast toward them until you get the distance down. Might also get a professional or knowledgable friend to watch your technique to smooth out the kinks in your casting. Above all - stay relaxed!

I agree with Skipper. I think the best way of improving your casting skill is finding someone to teach you. I believe there are many experienced anglers willing to share their knowledge and secrets. You just have to find them.

Finding an experienced angler to teach you, yes that's the way to go. In case you cannot find one, you can get a tutorial video and learn from it.

The one drawback to using a video is that you don't have the expert standing there to watch your casting technique. An expert is the best way to go so you can learn to correct your casting errors.
