Lightbulb Nymph net

What is a nymph net and how do you use it? I saw one in the store and I am at a loss at how it is used and how it can help with my fishing.

I believe it's one of those nets that you use to catch whatever is floating in the river or stream so you can see what the trout are eating. That way you can match your fly to what's floating around.

A nymph net is something that I carry and use even before I get my rod and reel set up. I like to know what the fish are eating so I can match it with one of my flies.

Never tried a nymph net before. I usually just walk along the banks of where I'm fishing and turn over rocks to see what kind of bugs are around the area. Do you buy a nymph net or can you just make one?
