An expensive hobby

Fly fishing sure is an expensive hobby. Starting with the rod, line, leader, and other equipment, you can end up spending a lot of money. But I love it and that's why I keep doing it. :)

You bet, it is expensive! Aside from the equipment you have to purchase, there is the travelling (consumes gas) but it is worth it, isn't it?

Yeah, you guys are right. Though, I try to save a bit by fishing more in local areas, also fishing in the off season where I can get better price for boat and cabin rentals (if I need any).

Oh, yeah. This is a fun hobby but it really is pretty expensive. Thank goodness my wife doesn't mind me doing this as a hobby. :)

It is expensive that is for sure. That is why I say it's something that you have to know you really want to do before you buy everything for it. I would start at rental places and then decide if you want to buy everything.

It really never comes out cheap. Cost consciousness only comes at the early stage of angling but once you get engrossed and love of it, expenses will not be an issue.

It is still an issue for me. :D You are right, though. If you start enjoying this hobby, it is not a pain anymore to spend much money on fishing trips and fishing equipments. You are even willing to save up for your next fishing trip.

Absolutely right! Once you begin to love any sport or hobby the financial concerns that goes with it really doesn't matter much. It the love and passion of the game that counts. As Mastercard puts it, Priceless.
