Default Vest pockets or tackle box?

When you are fishing, where do you usually keep the fishing tackle? Do you prefer to keep all things in the tackle box or do you keep some handy by putting them in your vest pockets?

I would not put anything in my pocket. I can imagine getting hooked by a fly in my pocket. I carry a smaller tackle box and a larger tackle box. The larger one stays on the shore, and the smaller one goes with me down the river when I'm walking and casting out.

I'm with trophyfish on this one. I don't leave a big tackle box on the shore though, I leave it in my truck. I'm not as trusting. I carry a small tackle box with me. When I'm in the water, I carry it around my waist.
