Default Streamers for big trout

Try something that is big and gaudy. When I say big, I mean in the 7-8 inch size range. You want big fish, use big flies. You'll also want to have the right gear for casting these flies.

Theoretically that seems to make sense. Afterall, how can a fish become big if it doesn't go after big bait, right? Fisher, what kind of success have you had when you've used a large fly?

I've had some really good success with large flies. If you really want to catch big fish, you have to have the right size fly. An egg pattern won't even get the interest of a 20 pound fish if that's what you are after.

Fisher is quite right, you need to uprate all of your gear to cast these big flies. OH - and dont forget that BIG flies can also mean PREDITORS will have a go if they are in the water, be prepard to loose tackle!
