What's bait has been successful for you?

What's types of bait have been successful for you? In no particular order it's been Powerbait, worms, crickets, and salmon eggs.

I've only used crickets and worms from your list. I have the most luck with worms (live bait) over anything else. I do use a lot of mini-jigs and other lures now.

I rarely can deal with the crickets or worms, though the little boys in my family love to use them. I always used Powerbait and recently I tried sharp cheddar cheese with some success!

I mostly use worms; it seems that worms are the favorite food of trout. I have ever tried leeches once or twice and got a good amount of catches also, but I didn't feel comfortable to use the blood suckers.
