Default Banning Spinning

I know there are some places where only fly-fishing for trout is allowed; what do you think of this? Is there really a significant difference between the number of fish caught spinning and fly fishing to ban spinning to preserve fish?

There must be a guiding principle behind this ban. Maybe they want to preserve the natural balance of the fish population.

It doesn't necessarily indicate that you will get more catches by regular fishing than by fly fishing. It maybe just the way they limit the amount of fishing activities in the places. Who knows that they allow only fishing with bait in other places?

I'd have to look at the reason for the policy on banning spinning while allow fly fishing. The must be some kind of logic for this but then again, when does government do anything that is logical?

LOL That's a bit rude but so true. I still believe they have good reasons to do it. As long as they are environmental reasons, I will stand on their side.
