Default Harder hits

Do you find that fish strike harder when you are using bait or when you are using a lure? There was one time when I was using a cricket and the fish that struck, struck it hard. Then again, I've had the same thing happen with a lure. Guess it really depends on the fish?

I think it really depends on the fish, your location and how hungry and aggressive the fish are at any given time. I've had hard hits using bait and I've had hard hits using lures.

I agree that it depends on the fish and the location. Well, I don't know if it is just me, but I experienced that the fish would strike hard when I use bait. It might be because striking the bait, the fish felt that it got real food.

It depends on the bait and lures you use also. In my experiences, there is no bait or lure can beat worms. So I always use them as my primary bait.
