Default Good old worms

I still love to go fishing with plain old worms. I was taught to fish with worms and I taught my daughter to fish with worms.

When I fish in ponds or smaller lakes (still waters) I always use worms. I seem to catch more trout when I'm using a worm.

Do you still fish with worms from time to time? Are you the type of person that has to have the newest lure to fish with?

Yes, I am almost similar with you. I mostly use worms. But it is because fish like them, not because I am used to use them. The other fish's favorites are leeches and minnows, so I also use them often.

There's nothing like a nice wiggly worm to attract a trout. I've had my fair share of success using worms. Does your daughter bait her own hooks when using worms? My wife always wants me to help her. LOL

I definitely use worms. Those are some of the best bait! I think the fish really tend to prefer the real deal as opposed to the lures, even though they might be fancier.

My daughter does bait her own hooks, it's something I taught her early on. She still has a problem taking the fish off though, so I help with that. She will get it though! She is a fast learner.
