Default Lure coating

Just FYI, fish are attracted to light in the ultra-violet spectrum. I came across a product offered on the internet which is used to coat your bait, lures or flies to make it shine with reflected ultraviolet light.

Have you ever used such a product?

I had heard about these kinds of products, but no one I know uses them - they're pretty firmly set in their ways and a little apprehensive about spending money on something that, in their view, might just scare the fish away.

I don't really get into the high tech stuff like this. I figure if the fish are going to bite, they will and if they don't, not much I can do about it.

I agree with you LoveToFish. If the fish is not hungry, there is not much you can do to get it taking your lure. Yet, if your lure is treated with the product, there is better chance the fish will see it.

I wonder how such coating would help when live baits do the same thing yet do not reflect the lights for the fish to see.
