Default Favourite Wild Water?

So, out of all the lochs, rivers and lakes available throughout the UK, where is your favourite spot to cast out and why?

I've made this thread a "sticky" to gather as much information as possible over the next few months.

Really interested to hear your thoughts...

Depends on what I'm going for on the day. I love to cast out in the Cotswolds, alongside the River Coln. The Rainbow Trout that I've caught there are just delicious. I'll have to think about my other favourite places and share them later.

I like to cast in the Lake District. It's an easy rail trip for me up from London and lets me get away for a bit when I need to.

Lake District is a beautiful place, father goes there for weekend breaks occassionally.

All this talk of fishing makes me want to grab my kit and get outside, need to hold off till next season though!

It would be grand to be able to go and fish now, wouldn't it? I wonder if there's anywhere overseas or in Europe where fishing is in season right now. Might be worth a road trip.
