This introduction to trout spinning shows you two simple trout fishing setups that are effective and used by both novice and experienced anglers.
When novice fishermen (or women!) get into the sport they generally start off using a spinning rod and a float fishing setup. A simple yet effective means of catching trout, float fishing allows the angler to see when a trout is striking their line and also allows adjustments to the length of the line dropping down to the fish depending on their movement that day.

An alternative, and often used for sea fishing, is a simple weighted line with two hooks coming off it at separate depths. This setup is often referred to as a ” two hook bomber trace” as there are two hooks and a lead “bomb” weight is used to pull the line down to the water bed.
